On Friday 17th January 2020, the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice held an Open Day. The Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Waters arranged a bounteous programme for its prospective students, welcoming as many as seventy visitors.

Potential applicants got the opportunity to watch a presentation about the faculty and its degree programmes presented by the Vice-Dean for Study Affairs Assoc. Prof. Martin Kocour, Ph.D. Throughout the day, visitors could view exhibits, try laser shooting, experience interactive learning models and savour products from the faculty shop “Fish for Health”. Furthermore, some faculty students demonstrated carp processing.

Visitors could also buy books printed by the faculty and talk to the lecturers of individual subjects as well as the faculty students.

We would like to thank all the staff and students for being involved in the preparation and organization of the event.
