A group of authors associated with Stanford University, PLoS Biology and Elsevier, published analyses of citations from Scopus, assessing scientists for career-long citation impact and citation impact during the single calendar year 2019. In the case of the latter, the list of the top 2% of scientists in their field also includes 359 persons from institutions in the Czech Republic. Twelve belong to the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, out of which four are from our faculty. These are Jacky Cosson, Josef Velíšek, Otomar Linhart, and Antonín Kouba.
