•Kompetenzzentrum MechanoBiologie in Regenerativer Medizin ATCZ133 - Kompetenzzentrum MechanoBiologie
•The number of institutes in the program area focused on the mechanobiology in regenerative medicine is limited. All project partners from the participating regions mutually complement each other in the expertise and have high level of the research and development infrastructure and qualified personnel. The only way how to effectively use the existing infrastructures and solve complicated problems in regenerative medicine is the cross boarded collaboration. Therefore, the general aim of the project is to develop competence centre for mechanobiology which will increase the productivity, effectiveness and awareness through the international academic collaboration. This will lead to the significant improvement of the research activities. Young researchers in the joint research programs will help to disseminate the knowledge in the region and out of the borders of it. The new knowledge and experience generated by the competence centre has the potential at the European level. Competence centre will contribute to the program aim of development of the research in the region. Project specificity is in the focus on the mechanobiology which is highly innovative area of regenerative medicine. The new medical procedures are being developed in this field which can substitute expensive and long-term pharmacological treatment or repeated chirurgical operations. The project follows the strategy to support healing mechanisms of he human body and its ability to regenerate dysfunction cells or tissues. Mechanobiology is based on the cheap methods and therefore makes the whole therapy cost effective. The project will contribute to the aim of the improvement and broadening of the research and innovation through involvement of young researchers in the key areas of mechanobiology, development of the educational and training programs and support of the cross boarder experts exchange.
