The first international workshop on exotic flow cytometry and its scientific use in kingdoms of microorganisms, plants, fungi and animals, as well as applications from checking the microbial quality of water and food, genetic and breeding research of plants and fish towards veterinary assessment of animal tumors  and sperm quality check was held in ENEA Research Centre from 13th to 15th November 2019. I was invited by the main organizer Dr. Sergio Lucretti to participate with an invited lecture „The use of flow cytometry for study of polyploidy in freshwater fish (M. Flajšhans, I. Lebeda, M. Hubálek)“. Altogether 28 lectures were presented and two poster sessions were held during breaks. Workshop was concluded with tutorial of practical applications.
