On January 30st, 2020, as member of the Ph.D. thesis tribunal and reviewer as well, I attended the defence of the thesis “Computational Methods for Random Differential Equations: Probability Density Function and Estimation of the Parameters” which took place at Seminario del Instituto Universitario de Matemática Multidisciplinar (IMM), Universitat Politècnica de València, Valencia, Spain. The doctoral candidate, Julia Calatayud Gregori, presented an outstanding work and successfully fulfilled her doctoral programme: PHD IN MATHEMATICS. The rest of my stay in Valencia I dedicated to strength the relations with IMM staff and to discuss some details of the model describing growth of anaerobic photosynthetic bacteria under infrared lightning conditions.
