I have completed four months internship in Research Institute for Aquaculture No. 1 (RIA1) in Bac Ninh (Vietnam) from 5th February to 10th June 2020. It was a great opportunity to visit many different culture systems for freshwater fish, marine fish, ornamental fish, shrimps and molluscs in Vietnam and learn their techniques and approaches. I was involved in experiments focused on comparing of fitness in different tilapia strains as well as in testing new techniques for reducing the bacterial load in shrimp farming systems. Presentations about FFPW itself as well as facility, equipment and research directions of Laboratory of controlled reproduction and intensive fish culture were given during seminars at Research Institute for Aquaculture No. 1, seminars at Faculty of Fisheries, Vietnam National University of Agriculture (dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Nang Thu) and meeting with Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam representatives (Dr. Bui The Anh). I would like to thank Dr. Pham Thai Giang, Dr. Mai Van Tai a Assoc. Prof., Phan Thi Van for the time spent at institute and ensure of my mobility. I also acknowledge ERASMUS+ program for financial support of the mobility.
