From 23rd of April to 1st of May we (Effrosyni Fatira, Kseniia Pocherniaieva, Taiju Saito and Martin Pšenička) visited laboratory of Fish Physiology and Genomics, INRA, in Rennes, France. We worked on somatic cells nuclear transfer in model species, goldfish (Carassius auratus). During our stay, we also performed analysis of goldfish spermatozoa flagella movement and discussed selection of gene specific for germ stem cells and long term collaboration on isolation of spermatogonial stem cells using an elutriation method in sturgeon.
