 The Congress of the Association of Chefs and Confectioners of the Czech Republic, which took place in Prague Hotel Intercontinental, received our employee Ing. Eduard Levý significant award. From the hands of President for WAKS AKC CR Bachelor Miroslav Kubec received a gold medal Magdalena Dobromila Retigová. This award has a high prestige and shows excellent culinary skills of our employees. His specialty of fish dishes can be enjoyed in our shop Ryby pro zdraví in České Budějovice.

On 27 February, I came to the Prague National Technical Library participated in ceremony of the second year competing in the Czech innovation 2012. FFPW USB participated in this competition as the only part of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice and in the contest sent a production technology of Omega-3 carp. Overall, it was registered more than 110 innovations from various sectors. Best of 2012 Czech innovation project became Degradable esophageal stent with degradable coating, which helps patients with diseases of the esophagus. Although we did not succeed this year, be sure to participate with another project next year and Czech innovation 2013.

 The second year of the conference Fisheries Association of the Czech Republic at the Clarion Hotel in Czech Budejovice has successfully introduced its products shop of FFPW USB „Ryby pro zdraví“.
 On Friday morning had Ing. Levý presentation about fish and fish products from the other side. The presentation introduced the concept of small stores of fish and fish products suitable for fishing businesses. Subsequently held a tasting fish delicatessen products produced by our store, made from Omega-3 carp. |

 On Wednesday, 20 February 2013, Assoc. Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Pavel Kozák, PhD., presented the results of the research objectives VP4 CENAKVA in the lecture hall of the Research Library of South Bohemia in the Czech Budejovice.
He introduced the development of a unique system of water quality monitoring using crayfish as bioindicators.
The lecture was organized by the non-profit organization Comenium. The listeners watched the lecture and they were very interested in demonstration of live crayfish.

Thanks to the involvement of the FFPW USB in the project of the 7th RP Aquaexcel, we were visited by Dr. Horvath Ákos and MSc. Katalin Ágnes Szentes from Szent Istvan University, Gödöllö, who used our hatchery to realize the project called "Induced spermiation of the barramundi and subsequent sperm analysis". This project, which was approved in the 3rd call for submission of proposals for the use of foreign partner research infrastructures, last two weeks. |
