 From 22 to 27 January 2013 took place in Prague Letňany traditional fishing fair For fishing. We have enriched our exhibition on show crayfish in an aquarium, which had a very positive response from visitors. On the part of potential students was again mostly interested in combined bachelor's degree. Personally, I was pleased with the visit of Mr. Jakub Vágner, which to our stand brought Mr. Hugo Pavel brother known writer Ota Pavel.

On Wednesday 29th January in the small meeting room of the town hall in Vodnany was held The 6th meeting of the Scientific Committee of the FFPW USB.
From the program: project CENAKVA II, National Agency for Agricultural Research projects, the dean presented the plan of the long-term development of FFPW and informed about his activity in last year, the documents for accreditation the new master’s study program “Fishery and protection of water” and for reaccreditation the bachelor´s study.

 On Friday, 18th of January, a opening day at the Institute of Aquaculture in České Budějovice took place for the people interested in study at our Faculty. They could visit the Institute from 9.00 till 15.00 and got some informations about study programs, research activities or Faculty hinterland.
There were also a lot of interesting acitivities – people could try to microscope, see an uncommon exhibition of fish and animal preparations, fish scales under a magnifier or they could see how to treat a fish meat. |

 TV GIMI filmed today in the Experimental fish culture and facility the crayfish in connection with research aim 4, CENAKVA, Development and innovation of continuous water quality monitoring system using fish and crayfish as bioindicators and innovative procedures within management of water-supply reservoirs.

 The press conference of the FFPW USB “Native and non-native crayfish in the Czech Republic” and the launch of the book “Biology and breeding of crayfish” took place at the Dům U Beránka in České Budějovice on the 9th January 2013.
The press conference was attended by journalists and the important guests from the Ministry of Agriculture, the Agency for Nature and Landscape Conservation, the Czech Fishing Union, the Fisheries Association of the Czech Republic and representatives of our university and faculty as well as the town Vodňany and others. |
