Fishery and protection of waters is a comprehensive and general field of study, which is not aimed only at biological, ecological and technological aspects of fisheries and water management, but is also aimed at water environmental policy. General awareness of related disciplines is included. As our graduate you will be prepared to work at positions of top management and/or professional and specialist in fishing companies and unions, in organisations focused on environmental protection and/or water management or in laboratories specialized primarily in water quality assessment.

The application and other attachments mus be provided in English. Students are admitted without admission examination according to the order defined on the basis of data obtained from their application, curriculum vitae and motivation of a student to increase their qualification. The order is determined according to the number of points between 0-20 assigned to applicants by the Admission Committee. Applicants with the same number of points are placed at the same place. Applicants with the highest number of points are included in the order of students to be admitted to the study. All applicants with the same score as the last admitted applicant are also included in the order of students to be admitted. In case the number of applicants is lower than the specified number of students to be admitted, all candidates are admitted without establishing the order by the Admission Committee. The study in the above-mentioned field is intended mainly for foreign students and it is subject to a fee. The fees for the study are announced on the FFPW USB website.
Applicants who are placed in the order of students to be a dmitted and who meet other conditions for being admitted are notified of their admission to the study.
Applicants who are placed in the order of students to be admitted and who do not meet the conditions for admission (applies to applicants who obtain their Bachelor's deggree in 2020) are informed about their placement in the order of students to be admitted and they would be admitted after meeting all the conditions for admission.
Applicants who are not placed in the order of students to be admitted are not admitted to study.

Attachments to the application form to study:
- Structured curriculum vitae of the applicant
- An original or an officially certified copy of a diploma of completed Bachelor's study or higher degrees of study (i.e. Master's)
- Cover letter on qualification improvement

Applicants who complete their bachelor's or higher degree of study in 2019, submit the proof of completion the Bachelor's study immediately after they receive it, no later than on the date of enrolment to study.In case the applicant obtained their education at a foreign university or a gigher secondary school, the applicant submits a document proving equality of foreign tudy and diploma with a study at a Bachelor's study programme accredited at Czech higher education institution issued in a Rector's Decision of such institutuion, unless the international treaty specifies otherwise. If the applicant wants to enclose the original of any document, they have to bring it in person to the faculty's Study Office.


The fee for acts associated with the admission procedure in the amount of CZK 500 must be paid at the time of the application submission, either by a bank transfer, by a money order, or online wia a payment gateway in the IS STAG application in chase the applicant submits their application this way. In case of payment discrepancies, applicants will be asked to provide evidence of the payment for the admission procedure (bank statement, bank confirmation of the bank transfer, money order receipt, etc.).
