FFPW USB help for Ukraine and to Ukrainan students

The Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Waters USB offers to Ukrainian students and those interested in studying at the Faculty the following options:

Bachelor, follow-up master and doctoral study programs

The Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Waters USB may accept Ukrainian applicants to bachelor, master and doctoral study programs.

  • The bachelor study programs Protection of Waters and Fishery are accredited only in the Czech language.
    • Student must demonstrate knowledge of the Czech language.
  • The follow-up master study program Fishery and Protection of Waters is accredited in Czech and English.
  • The doctoral study programs Fishery and Protection of Aquatic Ecosystems are accredited in Czech and English.
  • Studies in bachelor and follow-up master programs will begin on September 29, 2022.
  • Study in doctoral study program can be started according to the agreement at the study office of the Faculty after a successful admission procedure.
  • The capacity of newly admitted students (enrolled to study after February 24, 2022, in the academic year 2021/2022 and 2022/2023) will be limited by the accommodation capacity of the FFPW USB and USB.
  • The tuition fee for studying in study programs in English ​​is CZK 500 / semester. Applicants from  Ukraine will be waived tuition fees.
  • The Faculty recommends that those interested in studying at the Faculty take a short-term intensive Czech language course.
    • Provided by the Faculty of Arts of the USB.
  • Applications for bachelor and follow-up master study programs can be submitted immediately until March 31, 2022 (1st round of the admission procedure).
    • 2n round of the admission procedure:
      • until July 3, 2022 for bachelor study program Fishery,
      • until July 31, 2022 for bachelor study program Protection of Waters and follow-up master program Fishery and protection of waters.
  • Applications for doctoral study programs can be submitted immediately until May 9, 2022.

Short-term internships

The Faculty can also offer short-term internships in fisheries and protection of waters, lasting 1-6 months. It is possible to request an extension of the internship. Of course, absolvents of internship can, if they are interested, continue their studies at the Faculty if they apply to study. Applications for short-term internships can be submitted at any time.

Scholarships

The Faculty is prepared to provide a scholarship for 5 newly enrolled students in bachelor or follow-up master study programs in the amount of CZK 15,000 / month for 1 year.

PhD students receive a standard scholarship according to the Faculty's scholarship regulations.

Accommodation

The Faculty provides individual assistance in an emergency. based on a completed application submitted through the study department of the Faculty.

  • The Faculty also individually helps the family members of the faculty members, for example, with accommodation, transport from the border, etc.
  • Furthermore, the Faculty provides special scholarships to those who prove a financial emergency.
