Open Days

On January 21, 2022, you had the opportunity to experience the FFPW as part of the Open Day of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice in the ZR building on the University of South Bohemia campus in České Budějovice. A rich all-day program that represented the focus of the faculty was prepared from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The program visited about 50 people interested in studying at the faculty.

And if you couldn't see us in person, you still have the opportunity to see our buildings, at least through 3D tours.

Program
  • Demonstrations of the application of modern technologies in aquaculture, monitoring of cormorants using drones, use of data for water quality, and identification of fish using state-of-the-art tools.
  • Demonstration of how river floodplain and delta work.
  • Measurement of water chemistry.
  • Demonstration of models of ponds and animals.
  • Demonstration of microscopic techniques used in the study of fish reproduction.
  • Demonstration of native and non-native species of crayfish.
  • Tasting of fish and fish products from the faculty fish processing plant.
  • Presentation of elective courses - mind and sport Fishing.
  • Sales of books and promotional materials of the faculty
  • Demonstration and sale of professional literature
How to reach us?

The ZR building, where the Open Day takes place, is located on the campus of the University of South Bohemia. To reach university campus in České Budějovice, you can use public transport from Main station "Nádraží" to bus stop "Jihočeská univerzita" by trolley bus No. 3 (apporx. 15-20 min. ride).
