Scholarships
The conditions for granting and paying scholarships are based on Act No. 111/1998 Coll., about universities as amended, as well as on the Scholarship regulations of the University of South Bohemia in accordance with Dean’s decisions.

Scholarship amount?
The scholarship is divided into four categories, according to high school results. Students can get 5,000 to 10,000 CZK.
Who is eligible?
A scholarship can be obtained by a student of the 1st year of a bechelor study program, who:
- studies the full-time form of bachelor's study,
- in the study at FFPW JU is enrolled for the first time,
- no more than 3 years have passed since graduation,
- meets the limit values of the study average at secondary schools according to the relevant categories.
How can I apply for scholarship?
It is not necessary to apply for a scholarship, if the above conditions are met, it is awarded automatically.

Scholarship amount?
The scholarship is awarded four times a year, always quarterly. It is possible to obtain approximately CZK 500 for each month when a student is entitled to a scholarship. The exact amount that the student will receive is always stated in the decision to award a scholarship, which will be sent to the student via e-mail.
Who is eligible?
The scholarship can be awarded to any student who:
- studies full-time form Bc., NMgr. or Ph.D. study program,
- in the study program did not exceed the standard length of study
- has a permanent residence outside the district of the place of study (ie České Budějovice or Vodňany)

Who is eligible?
The scholarship can be awarded to any student who:
- studies during the standard time of his/her study program
- proves by a written confirmation issued by the state social support body under the heading "Communication for the purpose of awarding a scholarship" that the income in the family ascertained for the purpose of awarding child benefit did not exceed 1.5 times the family subsistence level in the relevant period.

Scholarship amount?
The merit scholarship is divided into three categories, according to the weighted study mean for the previous academic year. In the academic year 2024/2025, the amount of the merit scholarship is CZK 13,500 to 27,000.
Who is eligible?
The scholarship can be awarded to any student who:
- studies full-time form Bc., NMgr. or Ph.D. study program,
- in the previous academic year obtained at least 60 credits,
- in the previous academic year, reached a weighted study mean of up to 1.60.
How can I apply for scholarship?
It is not necessary to apply for a scholarship, a scholarship will be awarded automatically to a student who meets all the above conditions.

Scholarship amount?
The scholarship is divided into three categories, the student can be awarded a scholarship in the amount of 8000 to 16000 CZK per month.
Who is eligible?
The scholarship can be awarded to any student who:
- studies full-time form Bc., or NMgr. study program,
- enrolled in courses in the total academic year in the total amount of at least 60 credits,
- in the previous academic year, reached a weighted study meanof no more than 1.5,
- completed at least two required activities (see below).
How can I apply for scholarship?
It is necessary to apply for a scholarship via IS STAG always no later than 15 October of the given year.

- completing at least one of the following activities:
- important participation in the laboratory´s activities at the FFPW USB in the extent of at least 100 hours (assistance free of charge within or beyong the bachelor´s/master´s thesis
- submitting a manuscript for publishing or actively presenting own results at a conference
- foreign study stay of at least 1 semester (acquiring 18 ECTS credits)
- completing at least two of the following activities:
- involvement in exhibitions and promotion of the faculty
- assistance to teachers/faculty with teaching at the faculty
- significant sports or other success under the auspices of the USB or the FFPW USB

Who is eligible?

Students of bachelor's or follow-up master's full-time study in the last year of study (in the year of completion of their studies) for excellent study results.

Students of bachelor's and follow-up master's full-time study for a bachelor's or master's thesis with excellent research, development, innovation or other creative results contributing to the deepening of knowledge.

Students of all levels of full-time study for results eligible in the RIV for the purposes of evaluation of research and development.
- Students of bachelor's and follow-up master's full-time study for excellent results during the entire study - the Dean's Award and the Rector's Award.

Scholarship amount?
The amount of the scholarship for excellent sports performance depends on the significance of sports success and is up to CZK 5,000. The amount of the extraordinary scholarship to support sports activities is up to CZK 10,000 per academic year.
Who is eligible?
Scholarships can be awarded to students of all levels in the standard period of study:
- for excellent placement in national, international or university competitions (championships) if the information on the achieved sports success is published on the FFPW USB website in the news,
- in order to facilitate participation in major sporting events, support training or sports performances.
How can I apply for scholarship?
Students do not apply for an extraordinary scholarship for excellent sports performance, the scholarship is awarded on the basis of the initiative of members of the USB management and the management of USB faculties
Students must apply for a scholarship to support sports activities via IS STAG.

Every student of the FFPW USB, in the full-time form and standard time of all study programs can receive a scholarship, to support study, implementation of operational practice or internship abroad.

- studies at all levels of full-time study,
- actively participates in research, development and innovation activities in the laboratories of the FLFW JU.
The scholarship can be further used to support good final theses solving problems of practice, etc.
