During a one-month visit to Montreal, Canada, I had the privilege of spending time with Professor Brian Leung and his research team. Prof. Leung's lab is renowned as one of the most influential in the fields of statistical modeling and invasive species.
Throughout my stay, I had the honor of learning from the team's extensive expertise, especially in the area of statistical models. I gained valuable insights into their research methods, analytical techniques, and overall approach to studying invasive species.
In addition to benefiting from this educational experience, I also had the exciting opportunity to contribute to an innovative project. This project integrates species distribution data into the economic cost estimation of invasive non-nativespecies globally. By using interpolation techniques, the project aims to provide a more accurate assessment of the economic impact of invasive species around the world.
