Report from the foreign trip –Edelhof, Austria 21 Sep 2022

21st September 2022 I visited the LFS Edelhof school near Zwettl, Austria. The school was hosting a meeting of the partners of the Aqua-view initiative, which brings together secondary and university schools involved in aquaculture education from across Europe (Malta, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Slovenia, Serbia). I was invited to the meeting because of our previous cooperation with the hosting LFS school in Edelhof. The meeting was about presenting the different partners connected within the Aqua-view initiative to the guests and opening up for the involvement of other new subjects. At the meeting, I briefly introduced our Faculty of Fisheries and Water Conservation of the University of South Bohemia and described in more detail our activities and results implemented within the Interreg project.  My presentation was interesting and opened up possibilities for further cooperation and involvement of our faculty in the developing network of schools dedicated to aquaculture education. Further development of the cooperation with the Aqua-view initiative is up to the consideration and approval of the faculty management. I think that we have a lot to offer to foreign partners both in terms of exchange of teachers or students and in sharing our research infrastructure.

The realization of the work trip was financially supported by the INTERREG V-A Austria-Czech Republic.
