The Day with the University of South Bohemia and the presentation of all eight faculties took place on 16 April 2025 as part of the Women's Ice Hockey World Championship 2025, which was hosted by the city of České Budějovice from 9 to 20 April 2025. The faculty stands were part of the accompanying programme of the Fanzone on the „Sokolský ostrov.“
Visitors could try virtual reality, thermal imaging or robot programming for themselves. The work of archaeologists or physiotherapists aroused great interest. In practical demonstrations, people could put themselves in the body of a hockey player, an old man or a pregnant woman. A special machine also evaluated their weight, proportions and the amount of fat in their bodies.
On the stage of the Fanzone, Martin Šeda from the Department of Applied Chemistry at the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology presented a spectacular colourful science show that captivated both children and adults.
In the spirit of the main motto of the championship "The heroines are coming", Libor Bouček also invited two university heroines to his talk show - cross-country skiing representative and student of the Faculty of Economics USB Barbora Havlíčková and world champion in fly fishing and graduate of the Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Waters USB Kateřina Švagrová. Both inspiring women told their story and described their path to success.
