On 8th March 2025, the Grappling Industries tournament was held in Berlin, with a total of 1,019 wrestlers from different countries participating.
Among them was a student of the Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Waters USB Daniel Kožiol from Gladiators Gym, who competed in the category up to 91 kg (semi-heavyweight). He had four five-minute matches in the regular part with a record of three wins and one loss, which secured him a place in the finals. In the final bout, he faced a German opponent, whom he lost to after a tough fight and took home the silver medal.
The next challenge for Daniel will be the May competitions of the same organization, which this time will take place in Vienna.
