The LIFE Living Rivers project as part of the future of sturgeons in the Slovak part of the Danube

On 27th May 2023, from 3:25 p.m., the public broadcaster Rozhlas a televízia Slovenska (RTVS) posted another episode of the program "Na rybách", which was dedicated to sturgeons this time. The program also features staff from the Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Water USB, RNDr. Borek Drozd, Ph.D. and Ing. Martin Šindler, who, among other things, presented the activities of the LIFE Living Rivers integrated project (LIFE21-IPE-SK-LIFE Living Rivers/101069837) focused on sturgeons in the Slovak part of the Danube (B. Drozd - footage: 6:27 to 7:45, M. Schindler - footage: 7:45 to 10:45 and 15:00 to 15:53). A demonstration of the sturgeon catch on the Danube below the Gabčíkovo Watershed, which took place in cooperation with colleagues from the Slovak Fishery Association (Ing. Martin Farský and Eugen Farský), is in the program in the footage from 12:50 to 14:58, the catch then from 22:55 to 25:40.
