Dear colleagues,

I would like to invite you to the professional workshop "PIT TAG technology and TAGGING training", which will take place on March 17, 2026 in the large meeting room (1st floor), Zátiší 728/II, 389 01 Vodňany (see the program in the appendix).

The workshop will cover various P.I.T. tagging techniques, practical demonstrations on different age categories and fish species, as well as an introduction to an automatic measuring board for digitizing phenotypic data (body lengths, weight).

The workshop will be taught by an expert in fish P.I.T. tagging, Armando Piccinini from VodaIQ. The workshop will be held in English and is suitable not only for scientists, but also for technicians and Ph.D. students.

Due to the limited capacity of the fish dissection room where the afternoon practical demonstration will take place, the workshop capacity is limited to 20 participants. Please register by 15.2. 2026.

9.30 – 9.45 – Workshop presentation and VodaIQ company
9.45 - 10.00 – The rise of PIT tag technology
10.00 - 10.30 - PIT tag technology
10.30 – 10.45 – Coffee break
10.45 – 12.00 – PIT tagging techniques
12.00 – 13.00 – Lunch (on each own expense)
13.00 – 15.00 – PIT tagging demonstration and practise, digital board use and tagging software
15.00 – 15.30 – Workshop conclusion
