New aeration system for breeding ponds

The company Kubíček VHS s.r.o. implemented a new aeration system for 11 small breeding ponds at the Faculty of Fisheries and Water Conservation, Genetic Fishery Centre in Vodňany.

Two sets of ROOTs blowers KUBÍČEK type 3D28C-080E and 3D19C-051E, are installed on a concrete platform on the dam at the ponds. The air distribution is made in stainless steel pipe, which is equipped with outlets with taps. Aeration is provided by fine bubble ballast elements KUBÍČEK type ATE65DG in the design for fishing applications.

By replacing the aeration method of replacing the less efficient floating surface aerators with a modern system combining ROOTs blowers and fine bubble aeration, we have achieved an immediate reduction in the energy consumption of the operation by more than 70%, with higher oxygen saturation of the water.
