The Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Waters of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice participated in the prestigious international conference and exhibition Aquaculture Europe 2026, held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, from 28 September to 1 October 2026. As part of its participation, the Faculty presented its activities at its own exhibition booth, which attracted considerable interest from the professional community throughout the event.
Aquaculture Europe is one of the most important European gatherings of experts, research institutions, universities, producers and technology companies working in the field of aquaculture. The event offered an extensive scientific programme, presentations of research results and opportunities to establish new international contacts.
The FFPW USB booth was a popular and frequently visited meeting point, attracting experts from across Europe and other parts of the world. Visitors had the opportunity to learn more about the Faculty's activities, research topics, educational programmes and opportunities for cooperation. The Faculty's research results and practical outputs also attracted considerable attention.
Participation in Ljubljana provided an important opportunity to present FFPW USB as an internationally respected institution in the fields of fisheries, aquaculture and water protection. Representatives of the Faculty also actively participated in the scientific programme and discussed opportunities for future cooperation, joint research projects and other international activities with partners from various countries.
The successful participation in Aquaculture Europe therefore contributed not only to promoting the Faculty, but also to presenting its scientific results and expertise to the European and international community.
