On April 13, 2026, a meeting between students and the Dean took place at the Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Waters, University of South Bohemia. The meeting was attended by the Dean, Prof. Ing. Tomáš Policar, Ph.D., the Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs, Doc. Ing. Martin Kocour, Ph.D., the Faculty Ombudsperson, MVDr. Veronika Piačková, Ph.D., and the Erasmus+ Programme Coordinator, Bc. Lucie Kačerová.
The Faculty Ombudsperson introduced students to the available support options for both academic and personal difficulties and offered individual consultations. Subsequently, the Erasmus+ Programme Coordinator presented opportunities related to study and work placements abroad and shared the experiences of students who had already participated in international mobility programmes.
The second part of the meeting was marked by a lively and open discussion on topics related to teaching, study conditions, and the overall functioning of the faculty. Students appreciated the opportunity to share their feedback directly with the faculty leadership and to receive answers to their questions.
The meeting took place in a pleasant atmosphere and confirmed the faculty’s commitment to active communication with its students.
