Statement of the USB on the attack on the Faculty of Arts of the Charles University

It is with great regret that we follow the news about the tragic attack at the Faculty of Arts of the Charles University.

We express our full support to students and colleagues from Charles University.

This unprecedented attack on human life has no place in a free society.

"Today's inexcusable act, even worse that it happened on the grounds of a university in the middle of Europe, is a massive shock to me.

I sympathize with all those affected by this situation and hope for a speedy recovery for those injured. But most of all, my thoughts are with all the victims of today's tragedy, and I express my sincere condolences to their families."
