Vodňany Fishing Days 2022

We would like to cordially invite you to the “Vodňany Fishing Days 2022” (see the whole program here) and the part of the program provided by our faculty.

• Thursday 19. 5. 2022, series of events at the MEVPIS centre that combine science with art and entertainment (refreshment provided).
  • 4.30 p.m., Grand opening of the new Park of 6 Elements in front of MEVPIS. 6 "statues", 6 elements, 3 speakers, all to the sound of the harp…
  • 5:30 p.m., FFPW to the world. In a short and attractive presentation, four scientists from the FFPW USB (Tomáš Randák, Andrea Vojs Staňová, Ján Regenda and Vít Náhlík) will introduce their contribution to the world, whether it is new patents, technologies or socially important topics. Visitors will also have space to participate.
  • 7:00 p.m., Caviar slam. Another quartet, but leading Czech slammers this time, who will compete for faculty caviar and your favour with their environmentally tuned lyrics on the border between stand-up and poetry. You will choose the winner!
  • 9:00 p.m., a magical visual-musical performance called Hatchery with the participation of a leading Czech artist Petr Nikl, didgeridoo player Ondřej Smeykal and coloured inks projected on the wall.
• Friday 20. 5. 2022 and Saturday 21. 5. 2022, we continue with program not only (but mostly) for children.
  • Art workshops (MEVPIS pavilion) – as the International Fish Migration Day is celebrated, we will create a giant 13-meter eel and a large river graffiti will be created on the wall of the training pavilion under the guidance of an expert. Everyone can get involved and create their own.
  • “Objevárium” (MEVPIS) – the interactive exhibition “Objevárium” will be held at the mill building from Friday morning to Saturday afternoon, where children can test their skills and turn into an inventor. You can see some of the habitats in the attached photos.
  • Open day of the RIFCH FFPW USB (Saturday 9 a.m.–2 p.m.), accept an invitation to our faculty departments. The open day is intended for all those who want to see what is happening at the faculty. You can visit the "Model", the "Hatchery" or the laboratories of the main building.
