1st EAFP Students Conference - June 8th, 2023

As one of the EAFP student representatives, I successfully co-organized the 1st EAFP Students Conference on June 8th, 2023. The event attracted diverse participants from over 19 countries and all different time zones and included undergraduates, Ph.D. students, and early career researchers, fostering a global exchange of knowledge on aquatic animal health research and practice. The keynote speaker, Dr. Bartolomeo Gorgoglione, set the stage with an inspiring presentation on international career opportunities in fish pathobiology and immunology. Throughout the conference, we had vibrant discussions on various topics, from innovative diagnostic techniques to sustainable aquaculture practices. The quality and depth of the research showcased were truly impressive, reflecting the dedication and passion of the attendees. We extend our gratitude to all participants for their active engagement and contribution. Their commitment to adjusting schedules to participate exemplified the shared passion for advancing research and promoting collaboration in the aquatic animal health community.
