On July 14-17, 2026, Dr. Jan Urban participated in the international bioinformatics conference IWBBIO 2026 organized in Gran Canaria by the University of Granada, Spain. The main theme of this year's conference was the idea that we will no longer achieve further progress by conducting more experiments, but we must start asking new and better questions about the data already measured.

Dr. Urban traditionally participated in the program and preparation of this 13th year, organized the section Robust and Interpretable Machine Learning for Bioinformatics. He also contributed a lecture on the research activities of the laboratory, his entropic methods met with high interest, and he discussed with other participants and organizers.
