Internship at the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the European Union

Alžběta Strouhová was between November 21 and December 16, 2022 a member of the Czech Presidency team dealing with EU fisheries policy issues. The work of the whole team includes chairing working party of the EU Council and preparing other meetings, e.g. for the Committee of Permanent Representatives of the Governments of the Member States, the Council of Agriculture and Fisheries and others. In addition, it has dealt with all issues related to the Common Fisheries Policy, which is based on sustainable fisheries and aquaculture in the EU. One of the main outputs of the work of the whole Presidency team was the allocation and setting of total allowable catches for different species and fish stocks in EU waters or the development of EU strategic principles on sustainable aquaculture. Alžběta has been involved in the day-to-day activities of the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the EU, participating in several meetings at many levels. She attended bilateral meetings between the individual MS and the Presidency team.
