Investigation of the toxicity of pesticides and their metabolites to Mediterranean mussels during an internship in Sicily

Toxicity of environmental concentrations and its multiply of fungicide tebuconazole and herbicide metabolite propachlor ESA on Mediterranean mussels (Mytilus galloprovincialis) were investigated by PhD student Dipl.-Ing. Nikola Třešňáková during her 4 months internship (March-June 2022) in Laboratory of animal physiology at University of Messina in Sicily (Italy).  She collaborated with Italian student group under the guidance of academic professor Assoc. Prof. Caterina Faggio. Evaluation from two chronic toxicity test will be published in scientific journals with impact factor. Also, she collaborated with Indian and Iranian colleagues of prof. Faggio and become co-author of their publication. Except work and study duties, Nikola visited Syracuse, Catania, volcano Etna, Milazzo and many others interesting places in Sicily.
