Microbiota Workshop in Wageningen and International Conference of Fish and Shellfish Diseases

With the global demand for seafood rising, sustainable aquaculture practices have become increasingly vital. Understanding and harnessing the power of the microbiota that inhabit aquatic ecosystems can play a pivotal role in achieving this goal. The recent microbiota workshop in Wageningen served as a platform for experts to exchange ideas and innovations in microbiome analysis techniques and their application in aquaculture.

The intensive microbiota workshop was followed by the Bioinformatics Workshop and the International Conference of Fish and Shellfish Diseases in Aberdeen. Experts from around the world connected to discuss the latest research on aquaculture, immunology, and disease prevention. Both events, the workshop in Wageningen and the conference in Aberdeen, allowed me to present our latest research results in front of experts and engage in exciting conversations and plans for future cooperations.
