Slovakia LIFE "Living Rivers" – Bela River

Employees of FROV JU T. Randák, P. Lepič, V. Žlábek, J. Turek, A. Bořík, A. Vojs Staňová, P. Nováková, P. Řezníček, O. Palíšek, M. Avramovič, and M. Šindler on September 17 to September 22, 2023, in cooperation with the project partner - the CatchMe group and coordination with the Slovak Angler's Association carried out ichthyological monitoring on ten selected profiles of the Bela River and its tributaries. Each 150 m long stretch was monitored using electrofishing. The composition of the fish population was determined. Brown trouts and graylings older than one year were individually measured, weighed, and tagged for further monitoring. At the same time, after two weeks of exposure, passive samplers were removed, and water samples were taken for subsequent analysis of the presence of micropollutants.
