Report from the business trip, Italy, Malinovska

I was doing my Erasmus+ internship at Dipartimento di Scienze della Terra e dell’Ambient (Università di Pavia, Pavia, Itálie) under the supervision of prof. Roberto Sacchi and doc. Gianluca Fea from 10th of October to 8th of November. The internship aims were to gain experience in investigating the distribution of pathogens of populations of freshwater crayfish located in North Italy. During the internship, I learnt to evaluate the distribution of the parasites and to detect infected specimens. One of the main goals of this internship was related to studying of Thelohania contejeani and Vairimorpha, most commonly known as the agent of “porcelain disease”, in populations of freshwater crayfish.
