The Workshop on Fish Husbandry and Aquaculture in Starnberg (13–14 January 2026) was an inspiring meeting that successfully brought together practitioners, scientists, and government representatives to discuss current challenges in aquaculture and environmental protection. A particular highlight was the exchange between research and practice, for example, in the sessions on innovative recirculating systems and advances in fish health management. The open atmosphere encouraged constructive dialogue and joint problem-solving, making the workshop a valuable platform for developing practical and sustainable solutions for the future of aquaculture.
