Participation in the 31th Carp Conference in Toruń, Poland, 11-13 February 2026
From February 10 to 13, 2026, I attended the 31st Polish Carpfarming Conference, which this time took place on the banks of the Vistula River in Toruń. The conference was attended by over 160 people. In total, there were over 20 presentations on various topics that concern Polish fish farmers. The program also included two discussion panels and a fish gastronomy show with audience participation. The conference also featured a fishing-themed photo contest (one of my photos won 4th place) and a
gastronomic competition featuring various fish dishes. At the conference, I gave a presentation on "Subsidies and compensation in Czech aquaculture" and actively participated in the discussion on the market situation in the Czech Republic with a short ad hoc presentation. As part of the conference, I also visited the production plant of Aller Aqua, which focuses on the production of complete feed mixtures for fish.
