Report from the business trip to Rimini

Scientists and Ph.D. students from the Laboratory of Intensive Aquaculture, the Laboratory of Molecular, Cellular and Quantitative Genetics, the Laboratory of Nutrition, the Laboratory of Controlled Reproduction and Intensive Fish Culture and the Laboratory of Aquatic Toxicology and Ichtyopathology attended the European Aquaculture Society conference in Rimini (Italy) on 27-30 September 2022 on Innovative solutions in a changing world. Many delegates, scientific researchers, and early career researchers attended this conference and shared their knowledge and research findings on innovations and new developments in aquaculture and its components, such as aquaponics and fish nutrition, through oral and poster presentations. Furthermore, a Ph.D. student of our faculty, Mgr. Tomas Pěnka, Ph.D., won a travel award in the European Aquaculture Society (EAS) student section competition.

A great success was the participation of our Colleague MSc. Koushik Roy, Ph.D. who was one of the speakers at Tuesday´s Plenary Session with The move towards circularity as a main topic.
