KreativEU Strengthens International Cooperation: Inspiring Bilateral Visit Brings New Opportunities and Concrete Outcomes
From April 27 to 29, 2026, a bilateral visit took place within the KreativEU alliance, bringing inspiring meetings, the exchange of experience, and concrete outcomes for the further development of international cooperation. Colleagues from the rector’s office, as well as from international, study, and internal evaluation departments, actively participated in the program, engaging in intensive discussions on the functioning of alliances, internationalization, and the support of academic mobility.
A significant part of the program included a visit to CEITEC MUNI in Brno, which coordinates the prestigious Alliance4Life initiative. This alliance, bringing together leading life sciences institutions from Central and Eastern Europe, has long served as an example of good practice, particularly in research management, researchers’ career development, and research ethics. Discussions with colleagues from Alliance4Life focused mainly on sharing best practices, organizing international mobility, and developing international cooperation as a tool for strengthening institutional visibility and establishing new partnerships.
The subsequent visit to the Department for External Relations and Cooperation at Trnava University further deepened dialogue at the inter-institutional level. Discussions focused on opportunities for joint study programs, coordination of teaching in an international environment, and the development of joint activities. An important topic was also the support of exchange stays for both students and staff, where specific steps were identified to facilitate their organization and increase their attractiveness. Attention was also given to Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs), which represent an innovative form of short-term mobility combining online and on-site teaching. Participants agreed on their strong potential for developing flexible educational formats and enhancing the involvement of students and academics in international activities.
The entire meeting took place in a very positive atmosphere, fostering open communication and the search for new opportunities. The outcomes include not only inspiring ideas but also concrete agreements on future cooperation, ranging from the organization of joint events to participation in upcoming conferences and educational activities.
The bilateral visit clearly confirmed the importance of strategic networking between alliances and provided a strong impulse for the further development of activities within KreativEU.
