From 20 to 24 July 2026, our bachelor's student Daniel Kožiol participated in an intensive one-week program as part of the Blended Intensive Programs (BIP) titled Scuba Diving for Coastal Waters, organized by the Spanish university UCV (Universidad Católica de Valencia).
During the five-day course in Calpe, Spain, he attended expert lectures on marine biology, oceanography, and scientific diving. Theoretical knowledge was then put into practice through a series of diving activities.
As part of the programme, students installed and retrieved sediment traps, monitored the seabed, seagrass meadows, fish communities, and corals, and subsequently processed the collected data in the laboratory.
The course concluded with the development of a research project, its presentation before an expert panel, and a final snorkelling session.
