On Tuesday, October 3, 2023, the ceremonial opening of the new academic year took place at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. On this occasion, prof. PhDr. Bohumil Jiroušek, Dr., the rector of the University of South Bohemia, handed over awards for excellent pedagogical results and popularization of science for the first time. doc. Jan Mráz, Ph.D. received the Jana Anna Kateřina Zátková prize for popularizing science for the aquaponic team from the Laboratory of Nutrition.
