Faculty and Pure Shrimp join forces for innovation in shrimp farming in the Czech Republic

On 12^th March 2025, the Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Waters of the University of South Bohemia (FFPW USB) signed a memorandum on scientific-research and technological-innovation cooperation with the management of Pure Shrimp s. r. o. in the field of controlled breeding of shrimps and other crustaceans in the Czech Republic.

The aim of this cooperation is to improve the technologies and procedures of breeding these valuable aquatic animals, to increase the efficiency of breeding and the volume of production of shrimps and other crustaceans destined for the Czech market.

Another objective is to improve the marketing of the bred and produced crustaceans, develop international cooperation and implement various scientific research projects in the field. Both partners are also planning to involve students of all levels of study at the FFPW USB in this cooperation in the form of professional practice and internships.
