The highly interactive three-day workshop "Professional in Ph.D. Supervision" took place at the MEVPIS center from 22nd to 24th November 2021. The course was given by lecturers dr. Claudius van den Vijver and Barend J. van den Broek from the Netherlands. The participants from different faculties of the USB and institutes of Academy of Sciences were guided to strengthen their skills in effective communication, personal leadership, self-reflectance, evaluation and mentoring. The effective PhD supervision was discussed from the point of selection of suitable PhD candidates up to the graduation. Further collaboration with the Wageningen University including various courses is planned within the school of doctoral studies for PhD students and supervisors in biological disciplines.
