New TNA project at the IAPW FFPW USB

Another TNA project within the Aquaexcel3.0 has been implemented at the FFPW USB.

The lead researcher is MSc. Alexander Rebl, Ph.D. from the Research Institute for Farm Animal Biology, Dummerstorf, Germany. Dr. Rebl succeeded with the project called Welfare in aquaponics: Effects of organic acids in root exudates on the expression of immune and wound-healing genes in fish. The responsible researcher for the FFPW USB is Ing. Radek Gebauer, Ph.D.

Dr. Rebl is going to spend two weeks in the Laboratory of Nutrition where he is going to collect and analyse tissues of African catfish from an aquaponic system with a focus on unravelling the effect of root exudates on the immunity and welfare of aquaponic fish.

The access is free of charge. The AE3.0 project will pay for the experimental costs as well as the travel and subsistence costs.

The TNA call is continuous so you can apply for access to 40 partners´ installations at any time within the duration of the AE3.0 project. More information at the project website.
