As part of the FFPW USB Junior University, we welcomed last week the 2nd‑year Veterinary Science students from the SOŠ a SOU in Hořovice. Over the course of the five‑day program, they immersed themselves in the world of modern biology, ecology, and aquaculture, and had the chance to try out a variety of scientific methods directly in our laboratories.
The students encountered non‑native species and live crayfish, examined the health of fish, and discussed how pollution affects aquatic organisms and the quality of freshwater ecosystems. They also explored modern aquaculture techniques and gained insight into cutting‑edge methods used to protect endangered species.
The program offered five days full of discovery, hands‑on experience, and new perspectives on the future of our waters.
We would like to thank all the experts from FFPW USB for their professional and friendly approach, which the students greatly appreciated.
