The Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Waters of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice hosted a meeting of members of the Association of Deans of Faculties of Science on 3–4 June 2026. The two-day programme offered space for professional discussion, exchange of experience, and presentation of the faculty’s facilities.
The meeting was opened in the university auditorium in České Budějovice with a joint lunch prepared by the FFPW USB Fish Processing Plant and Aquaculture Products Shop, followed by a tour of the aquaponics facility. The official meeting took place with the participation of a representative of the University of South Bohemia leadership, Prof. Ing. Vladimír Žlábek, Ph.D., Vice-Rector for International Relations. The programme also included a visit to the Budějovický Budvar brewery and a tour of the Black Tower.
On the second day, the meeting moved to Vodňany, where participants visited the main building and workplaces of the Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Waters. The programme included continuing discussions and a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic
