CARMA Project brings an innovative solution linking industrial decarbonization with the production of sustainable proteins

Our colleagues from the Laboratory of Nutrition have secured a new grant!

CARMA converts CO₂ emissions into methane and, through electrolysis and the use of microorganisms, produces high-quality biomass. The nutrient composition of this alternative protein source is subsequently evaluated, and its suitability as feed is being tested on fish.
