Living Treasures project in the media

The Living Treasures project "Living Treasures of estuaries and ponds in the Austrian ORF news"

On 26 August 2025, a report on the Living Treasures project (project number ATCZ00180), implemented within the INTERREG Austria-Czech Republic 2021-2027 programme, was broadcast on the Austrian TV channel ORF. The report featured Natalia Zuzanna Szydlowska (FFPW USB), Christoph Hauer (BOKU) and Lisa Schmalfuß (BOKU), who introduced the aims and focus of the project to the audience. The report also mentioned the need to protect flagship fish species such as the Arctic grayling, which is an indicator of the good condition of river habitats. The project emphasises cross-border cooperation between Austria and the Czech Republic, the unification of measures and the creation of a common package of solutions.
