Partnership Agreement

At the end of the year 2024, the Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Waters USB in České Budějovice managed to conclude a partnership agreement with the ČSOB, a. s. The aim of the concluded agreement is the commitment of both parties to strive for the cultivation and improvement of the environment and sustainable behaviour in various areas of human activity. In particular, however, the promotion of biodiversity and sustainable fisheries, water conservation, fish processing, as well as the marketing and consumption of domestic fish products.

The partnership agreement also includes support for a scholarship project for gifted students. "I consider it a great success and a great recognition of our work so far that we have managed to establish cooperation on socially important topics with such an important Czech banking institution as ČSOB, a.s.", says the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Tomáš Policar.

Part of the partnership agreement is the commitment of the faculty to prepare at least 6 sub-projects that will address current environmental problems and other aforementioned issues in the Czech Republic. "It is a commitment and a challenge for us to contribute to the fulfilment of our social responsibility" adds Tomáš Policar. It should also be noted that the communication between the institutions has been going on for a long time and the conclusion of this agreement is a logical outcome of this partnership.
