On September 29, 2026, during the Aquaculture Europe 2026 conference in Ljubljana, Slovenia, the General Assembly of the European Aquaculture Society approved the newly elected leadership of this prominent European aquaculture organization in which our faculty and several of our colleagues play an active role.
We are delighted that the three key presidential positions within the society for the 2026–2028 are currently held by our international colleagues and collaborators: Damien Toner from Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM, Ireland) as EAS President, Daniel Żarski from the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN, Poland) as EAS President-Elect, and Marc Vandeputte from INRAE (France) as Past President EAS.
We congratulate all these colleagues, wish them great success, not only in leading the EAS, and look forward to future collaboration.
