On the weekend of October 11-12, 2025, the 51st annual orienteering race Vodňanský Kapr, dedicated to the memory of Antonín Reidinger, took place in Dub u Prachatic. Our faculty has been associated with the race since its inception, initiated by our colleague, friend, and orienteer Honza Kouřil. This year's 51st edition was attended by 385 competitors from more than 50 clubs from all over the Czech Republic, Austria, and Germany. Participants competed in two stages, a long-distance race on Saturday and a middle-distance race, with chasing start on Sunday.
True to its name, the winners of the main categories were rewarded with a live carp, a unique tradition that has made the Vodňanský Kapr a beloved and distinctive race on the Czech orienteering calendar.
