Election of a New Ombudsman at the faculty

The current Ombudsman of the Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Waters at the University of South Bohemia, Assoc. Prof. Miloš Buřič, Ph.D., will complete his four-year term in January 2026. Therefore, the Academic Senate of FROV JU announces the election of a new Ombudsman.

Members of the Academic Senate may propose candidates starting December 1 by submitting nomination forms. Completed forms must be placed in a sealed envelope and delivered either in person to the Chair of the Academic Senate of FROV JU or to the Dean’s assistant, or sent via internal mail no later than December 8, 2025, by 9:00 a.m.

The election of the Ombudsman will take place on December 17, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. during an in-person meeting in the conference room of the main building of FROV JU in Vodňany, Zátiší 728/II.

The Ombudsman serves as an independent person who helps address issues related to fair treatment, ethics, and the protection of rights within the academic community. Their role is to provide support, facilitate communication, and contribute to creating a safe and respectful environment.
