From 13 to 16 September 2026, Anna Koubová participated in the international conference EUROTOX 2026, which was held in Vienna, Austria. The conference, under the motto “Toxicology without borders”, presented the latest advances in the field of toxicology. The main topics included, for example, the effects of pesticide mixtures, mycotoxins, micro- and nanoplastics on organism function, the immunotoxic effects of PFAS, and the relationships between environmental pollution and the gut microbiome.
At the conference, Anna Koubová presented an oral contribution entitled “Wastewater-driven impacts on gut microbial diversity and function in wild brown trout”. The presentation focused on the effects of micropollutants on changes in the gut microbiome of brown trout experimentally stocked in a brook section downstream of a treated wastewater discharge. In addition to the oral presentation, the contribution was presented as an electronic poster.
