This year, the Association of Wastewater Treatment Experts (Asociácia čistiarenských expertov) held its 14th biennial conference called Wastewater, which was attended by three researchers from the Laboratory of Environmental Chemistry and Biochemistry. The conference, which focuses primarily on legislation and technologies related to wastewater treatment, took place on 21–23 October 2026 in Štrbské Pleso, Slovakia.

Roman Grabic delivered a presentation titled "Not All Wastewater Is the Same: Differences in Micropollutant Profiles at National and International Scales and Implications for the Implementation of Quaternary Wastewater Treatment". Kateřina Grabicová presented her work titled "The Impact of Anthropogenic Pollution on Aquatic Ecosystems". Alina Sadchenko focused her presentation on "Organic Micropollutants in Soil Following the Application of Sewage Sludge and Compost".

We would like to thank the research projects GAČR 25-17470S, GAČR 24-11779S, and NAZV QL24010384 for funding the research that led to the results presented at the conference.
